Corrections policy

We prefer to correct quickly and visibly rather than quietly.

Report an error

Write to us through the site’s Telegram group with the article address, the passage concerned and, if possible, the source that contradicts our text.

What we do

  • factual error (figure, date, attribution): the text is corrected and the "Updated" date is refreshed;
  • error that changes an article’s conclusion: correction plus an explicit note in the article;
  • article that cannot be corrected reliably: unpublished (the page returns a 404);
  • duplicates: articles merged with a permanent redirect (301) to the kept version.

Event updates

When an institution publishes new information on an event already covered (for example minutes after a rate decision), the existing article is updated rather than duplicated, with a new update date.

What is not a correction

A difference of opinion on how to read a market is not a factual error. We do not publish predictions, so we do not correct "forecasts". Numbers labelled as hypothetical examples are not market data.
